Barnabas Martonffy, President
Equal parts manufacturer, businessman, and innovator, Barnabas capitalized on his experience in furniture manufacturing and business administration to start Marlatex over 30 years ago. He’s fluent in four languages, and his globe-trotting life and straightforward business style have fostered relationships with domestic and international yarn suppliers, which provide a strong foundation for Marlatex's product offering.
Carolyn Martonffy, COO aka Boss Lady
Carolyn has been in and around Marlatex from an early age. After working in the medical profession for 17 years—honing her skills in assessment and management—she is back at Marlatex, using her talents and passion to usher in a new generation. Carolyn is managing day to day operations with quality, efficiency, and top-notch customer service in mind. She is strongly dedicated and committed to Marlatex's vision and mission for manufacturing excellence in the textile industry.
Claudio Martonffy, Design Director
Claudio's design sense was well-formed by an early age. Trained as an architect and structural engineer, he brings his proclivity for design and systems to the Marlatex creative team.
Angel Fire, Customer Service & Scheduling Manager
Angel joined the Marlatex family over 15 years ago. As the customer service and scheduling manager, she is the central point of contact for all customers, vendors, and suppliers, and the Marlatex scheduling queen. She handles all order processing, yarn inventory and receiving, and works directly with the design department on new or custom development production. Angel takes pride in taking care of our customers and enjoys the relationships she has built with each one over the years.
Laura Wyker, Designer
Laura comes to Marlatex with a background in art and design, textiles, science, and teaching. She utilizes her diverse skill set to create textiles that provide elegant solutions for her customers’ business needs. Laura's attention to detail, outstanding interpersonal skills, and eye for current trends in color, texture, fabrics, and patterns are sure to help Marlatex customers achieve their design objectives. A former CrossFit competitor, Laura enjoys her daily gym workouts with her husband Derek.
